Japanese people will use abbreviations whenever possible, so it makes sense bands would have them too. Here they are.

deathgaze - デスゲ desuge

Dir en grey - ディル diru, 灰銀 haigin (lit. grey coin)
Gazette - ガゼ gaze
kannivalism - 蟹 kani (lit. crab)
Nightmare - メア mea
Panic Channel - パニちゃ panicha
Phantasmagoria - 孫 mago (lit. grandchild)
Plastic Tree - プラ pura
